Dr. Kim Anh Thi Nguyen – General Dentist

Dr. Nguyen obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Montreal in Canada where she grew up. After moving to the United State she went on to pursue a career in dentistry, receiving a doctoral degree in dental medicine at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. She also holds a Certificate in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Nguyen then completed a one year post-graduate General Practice Residency at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. After working several years in the private and public sectors Dr. Nguyen is excited and honored to be able to care for you at Smileinsight Dental. Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the San Diego County Dental Society. To help connect with all of her patients, in addition to speaking English she also speaks French, Vietnamese, Laotian and basic Spanish. During her spare time, if she is not spending time with her family, she enjoys oil painting, singing, playing badminton and practicing Kendo. Dr. Nguyen has the knowledge and expertise utilizing the latest advanced dental technology to help patients seeking teeth whitening, laser treatments, smile makeovers, Invisalign, dental crowns and/or implants in California.

 

Amie Estela – Insurance and Financial Coordinator

Amie is a San Diego Native and attended San Diego Mesa College to obtain her Dental Assisting Certification in 2005, she started clinically as a dental assistant and later took courses so that she can move into the administrative side as an Insurance Coordinator.
Amie became a part of our Smileinsight Dental family in 2016. On most days, you may not see her as she works behind the scenes dealing with dental insurance companies and creating treatment plans for patients but patients will often hear from her.

Elizabeth Alegre – Registered Dental Assistant

Elizabeth has been with our dental family since February of 2016. Born and raised in the Philippines, Beth attended dental school and graduated in October of 2000. She later came to San Diego, California in 2002 and has been working as a registered dental assistant since then. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and enjoys cooking.

Asniya Sultana – Dental Assistant

Asniya moved to San Diego in 2021 and attended the San Diego Dental Careers dental assisting program. She also graduated from California State University Channel Islands in psychology and is currently pursuing a dental hygiene degree from Southwestern College. She enjoys working in the front office and being able to help people.

 

Karen Valles – Registered Dental Hygienist

  Born and raised in San Diego, Karen attended Concorde Career College to obtain a diploma in dental assisting in 2011. Because she loves helping people, she then decided to further her career by attending an Associate Degree in Science in Dental Hygiene program at Concorde Career College in 2022 where she obtained her degree and became a hygienist. Since then, she enjoyed educating patients on oral hygiene topics, while providing as gentle as possible and great quality care. Her hobbies include dancing, working out, hanging out with friends, ceramics and watching scary movies.

Myreen Martinez – Registered Dental Hygienist

Myreen has been a dedicated Dental Hygienist since 2007. She is a proud Bachelors of Science Alum from Tennessee State University. She loves to prevent dental diseases by combining modern technology and patient education. Through gentle yet thorough cleanings, hygienic coaching, and encouragement, she helps her patients make great strides in improving and maintaining their oral hygiene. On a daily basis, Myreen strives to create positive experiences with every patient. A proud United States Marine Corps wife, Myreen loves to relax, travel, workout, and create memories with friends and family.
